Back in Summer 2019, NAMI Glendale and I began working on upgrading their website. When we started working together, NAMI Glendale wanted several of their most trafficked pages reworked, including their homepage.

The Support Groups webpage in 2019 listed needed information. However, the page's layout did not give visitors a sense of the support groups’ community.

Over time, Jason Romero – NAMI Glendale’s Operations Manager – and I worked to improve the site's visual appeal. Improving its ease of use was another top priority.

Importantly, the website’s appearance was streamlined. Achieving a cleaner look and feel followed Jason’s wish to increase visitors’ satisfaction.

We also increased the visibility of the organization in Google.

The change in our society due to COVID caused many men and women to experience emotional distress. NAMI Glendale noticed an increase in demand for services from the local community.

Jason brought in an experienced and savvy SEO consultant to help us improve namiglendale.org’s ranking in search engine results.

Due to our hard work, namiglendale.org rose to the first available option for the search term “support groups Glendale.” The improved ranking allowed NAMI Glendale to help the community “find help and hope.”

NAMI Glendale’s current Support Groups page includes design elements that emphasize the spirit of shared community within the groups. The page also allows for easy viewing of essential meeting details.
